About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Produced from hillside vineyards in Impruneta at 200 metres above sea level. The exposure is south-east and the soil is clay schist.

Grapes

Predominantly Trebbiano and Malvasia.

Vinification

Selected grapes are harvested during the first ten days of September and dried naturally. Traditional vinification follows in small oak caratelli.

Ageing

Matured for at least four years in small oak caratelli.

Technical data

Alcohol: approximately 15.5%.

Tasting profile

Intense golden yellow with subtle reddish tones reminiscent of antique gold. The complex, fruity bouquet offers yellow, dried and candied fruit, apricot, acacia honey and orange peel, complemented by yellow-flower notes. The palate is complex, sweet, soft and opulent, with a persistent candied-fruit aftertaste and a lively final tension that refreshes the wine's sweet fruit character.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 18–19 °C with desserts.
