Early life

Jean Marco Antonuzi was born in Rome and trained as a lawyer, but his legal career lasted just a year. Disappointed with the profession, he moved to Paris and became a journalist, writing about wine and food. Journalism suited him much better, though he dreamed of one day making his own wine.

Meeting Clémentine and gaining experience

In 2001, he met his future wife, Clémentine Bouveron, who was studying winemaking and had been passionate about it since childhood. Jean Marco gained experience working with Dard & Ribo, Léon Barral, Jean-Paul Thévenet and Philippe Pacalet.

Founding Le Coste

After returning to Alsace, Jean Marco proposed to Clémentine. Once married, the couple moved to Lazio and began making wine, marking the start of the Le Coste estate. In 2004, they bought 3 hectares of land called "Le Coste," which had once grown vines and olive trees but had been abandoned by the time they acquired it.

Today

The estate now covers 14.5 hectares in total, with 4.5 hectares planted with old vines and 4 hectares with young vines.
