About this wine

Grapes

The variety has a long history of cultivation on the hills of the Langhe.

Vinification

Harvest begins in the second half of September, as the grapes start to wither. Traditional red-wine vinification involves pumping the must over the cap of grape skins, followed by malolactic fermentation at a controlled temperature.

Ageing

The wine matures for 12 months in French oak barrels. During this period, it undergoes a series of stirring stages that promote natural clarification.

Tasting profile

The wine has a pleasant aroma and an appealing taste.

Label / history

Pelissero is a family winery established by Luigi Pelissero, who began bottling and selling wine under his surname and the Pelissero logo in the 1960s. The estate, now run by his son, oenologist Giorgio Pelissero, has grown vines for several generations and covers 38 hectares. The winery stands on top of a hill in the Treiso area, in the heart of Barbaresco.
