About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Sangiovese comes from the estate’s younger vineyards, planted between 150 and 450 m above sea level. Training systems are cordon spur and doppio capovolto.

Grapes

100% Sangiovese, harvested by hand.

Vinification

For the 2024 vintage, submerged-cap fermentation took place in stainless-steel tanks with indigenous yeasts at a controlled 25–28 °C. Malolactic fermentation was completed in stainless steel.

Ageing

The wine matured in French-oak casks and barriques before a further period in bottle. Although wood ageing is not mandatory for Rosso di Montalcino, it adds aromatic and structural complexity while softening the tannins of young Sangiovese.

Technical data

2024 vintage; 14% alcohol.

Tasting profile

Intense ruby red. Red-berry aromas shape the fruity bouquet. The palate is well structured yet soft and persistent, with smooth, velvety tannins.

Serving and pairing

Pair with pasta and meat sauces, roasted or grilled meats, and medium-mature cheeses.

Label / history

Conceived as a younger and more accessible expression of the estate’s Sangiovese, it retains substantial structure and is presented as a youthful counterpart to Brunello.
