About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Fiori Rossi is made from selected Sangiovese clones grown in organically cultivated vineyards in Montepulciano. The vineyards represented in the technical data lie between 300 and 400 m a.s.l., with an average planting density of 5,600 vines/ha. Yield is 1.2–1.5 kg per vine, approximately 75 q/ha.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested manually. Fermentation takes place in truncated-conical stainless-steel vats at 25–28°C. Punch-downs and délestage complement pump-overs during the seven-to-ten-day fermentation and maceration. Micro-oxygenation is used between the end of alcoholic fermentation and the beginning of malolactic fermentation, which takes place in 30 hL wooden vats.
Ageing
For the latest published vintage, 2024, part of the wine matures in cocciopesto amphora and the remainder in 34 hL French-oak vats for eight months. The 2022 technical sheet instead specifies eight months in 30 hL wooden vats followed by six months in bottle before release.
Technical data
First produced in 2022. The 2022 technical sheet records approximately 10,000 bottles in 750 ml format and an ageing potential of three to eight years.
Tasting profile
Intense, bright ruby red. Red-fruit aromas are joined by delicate floral notes. The palate combines harmonious drinkability with an elegant structure, emphasizing freshness and personality.
Serving and pairing
Suited to convivial occasions and dishes from Italian cuisine.
Vintage notes
The 2024 vintage introduced cocciopesto amphora for part of the wine for the first time; the balance matured in 34 hL French-oak vats. The earlier 2022 technical sheet describes ageing entirely in 30 hL wooden vats, followed by bottle maturation.
