About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Bussia vineyard lies in Monforte at 350 metres above sea level, with a southern exposure. Its Tortonian soils consist of calcareous clay alternating with layers of sand.
Vinification
For the 2021 vintage, the grapes were harvested between 29 September and 13 October, selected, destemmed and crushed. Maceration on the skins lasted 8–10 days at a maximum temperature of 30 °C. Malolactic fermentation was completed by the end of winter.
Ageing
The wine matured for around 18 months in oak barrels of different sizes.
