About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Secondine is one of Barbaresco’s historic areas. The vineyard lies at the foot of the town, in a small valley running from the Tanaro River to the Pajè amphitheater. It has loamy soil and is naturally protected by the amphitheater.
Vinification
For the 2020 vintage, the grapes were harvested on 29 September. They were destemmed and pressed, then fermented for approximately seven days at no more than 30 °C. Malolactic fermentation was completed before winter.
Ageing
The wine spent at least twelve months in oak barrels, followed by several months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Elegant and finely structured, with sweet, velvety tannins.
Serving and pairing
Decant for one hour before serving.
