Vineyard and terroir
The Glera grapes come from biodynamic vineyards in the provinces of Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The company has 25 hectares of vineyards beside the historic Claudia Augusta road. The fertile soils are predominantly clay and rich in mineral salts, while the nearby Piave River gives a distinctive character to wines produced from grapes grown along its banks.
Vinification
After arrival at the winery, the grapes are gently pressed in a pneumatic press. The must is settled at low temperature and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. A second fermentation follows in sealed autoclaves using the Charmat–Martinotti method. Before bottling, the wine is filtered and decanted under isobaric conditions. It contains approximately 2 g/L of residual sugar.

Very dry, with fresh acidity.
Label / history
The name 47 Anno Domini refers to 47 AD, the year in which Emperor Claudius completed the Claudia Augusta, an important Roman road used for travel and communication across the empire. The road now passes through the winery, with its vineyards lying on both sides.
