About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The company's 25 ha of vineyards lie on both sides of the historic Claudia Augusta road, a few kilometres from the Adriatic coast and close to the historic centre of Treviso. The fertile soils are predominantly clay and rich in mineral salts. The nearby Piave River gives a distinctive character to wines produced from grapes grown along its banks.
Grapes
The blend contains 85% Glera. The remaining 15% may comprise Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero vinified as white wine, Verdiso, Bianchetta and Perera.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks with added natural yeasts. A secondary fermentation in pressurized steel tanks produces the bubbles.

Label / history
The name 47 Anno Domini refers to 47 AD, the year Emperor Claudius completed the Claudia Augusta, an important Roman road that now runs through the winery.
