About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from small vineyards in Castiglione Falletto, Monforte, Barolo and Novello. The vines are 10–45 years old and grow in limestone and clay soils at a density of 4,500 plants per hectare.

Vinification

Grapes from each vineyard are vinified separately, with methods tailored to express the character of each terroir. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks for 3–4 weeks, with daily cap punching.

Ageing

Each vineyard lot is aged separately for 30 months in oak casks and barriques.

Label / history

The wine was previously known as Barolo “Castiglione.”
