About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Timorasso is drawn from several vineyard sites in and around Monleale. The sites face south-east and south-west, and their soils are rich in limestone and clay.
Grapes
100% Timorasso.
Vinification
Fermentation lasts approximately four weeks and is divided among ceramic vessels, oak casks and stainless-steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is not carried out.
Ageing
The wine matures for ten months on its fine lees in ceramic vessels, stainless-steel tanks and large oak casks.
Tasting profile
Clear and intense yellow with green highlights. Pear and peach lead the fruit profile, accompanied by acacia, hawthorn and a characteristic honey note. After two to three years, mineral nuances become more prominent and may be accentuated by a distinctive hydrocarbon character. The palate is dry, warm, soft and balanced, with no hard edges. Fresh acidity gives the finish length and persistence.
