About this wine

Boscogrosso is a single vineyard of approximately 2 hectares at the top of the hill forming the watershed between Monleale and Volpeglino. It lies at 310 metres above sea level, faces west/south-west and has calcareous-clay soil. The Timorasso vines are Guyot-trained at a density of approximately 4,500 plants per hectare.
Grapes
100% Timorasso.
Vinification
Fermentation lasts approximately four weeks and is divided among ceramic vessels, wooden vats and stainless-steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is avoided.
Ageing
The wine remains on its fine lees for a total of 16 months across ceramic vessels, wooden vats and stainless-steel tanks, followed by a further 12 months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Clear and intense yellow in colour. The complex bouquet combines freshness with ethereal hydrocarbon notes, hawthorn and honey. The palate is broad, fresh, mineral and complex, with a very persistent finish.
