In 1997, Alberto Carnasciali and his wife, Franca Buzzegholi, bought a 15-hectare property in Magliano, Tuscany. One year later, in 1998, they founded the Col di Bacche winery.

Terroir
The vineyards lie on southwest-facing hills at 150–250 metres above sea level, on the edge of the Maremma Natural Park, in Magliano, Tuscany.
