In the final years of the Republic of Venice, Leonardo Emo married Beatrice Capodilista, the last member of her family, creating the Emo Capodilista family.

The Capodilisto family moved to Veneto, where its members received the titles of counts and were granted land.

Today

Conte Emo Capodilista is led by a member of the family's 22nd generation. For generations, the family has made wine using traditional methods, passing its knowledge from father to son. The quality of its wines is now recognized by many international wine critics.
