Storia

Before the end of World War II\nThe Cortonesi family already lived on this land in Montalcino before the end of World War II, a period described as difficult for Italy as a whole and for Montalcino in particular.\n\n### Marco Cortonesi\nMarco Cortonesi chose to invest in the land and to believe in progress that seemed impossible at the time, laying the foundations for the estate to thrive. This was made possible by the whole family's lasting commitment to learning about grape growing and winemaking, while looking to the past, remembering their roots and respecting tradition.\n\n### The present generation\nMarco's children now carefully preserve this legacy. For them, family has always been at the heart of every project, just as Marco taught them: a family united not only by name but also by shared values and outlook. Born and raised in Montalcino, they see this land not simply as a place to work, but as their home.
