Storia
Castello di Monsanto was received by Fabrizio and Giuliana Bianchi as a wedding gift in 1962. Their shared passion for making wine grew into a lifelong family business spanning more than one generation. The quality of the very first grape harvest impressed the Bianchi family, and the resulting wine immediately showed great potential.
Fabrizio stayed true to traditional recipes while also introducing many innovations in both winemaking and the cultivation of grape varieties that were new to the region.
Fabrizio and Giuliana's daughter, Laura, joined the company's management in 1989.
In 1990, a 300-meter tunnel cellar was built through solid rock, with walls up to 6 meters thick, helping to maintain ideal temperature and humidity for storing wines from recent vintages as well as a collection of rare bottles dating back to 1962.
In 2001, oenologist Andrea Giovannini began working with the winery, bringing fresh ideas while preserving the reputation it had built over many years.
Today, Castello di Monsanto is respected for its management and the quality of its wines, which are recognized on the international market.
