Storia
1956
Dante Giangirolami bought 5 hectares of land between Aprilia and Velletri and planted his first vines. He made wine for his family and sold grapes to larger wineries.
Expansion
As demand continued to grow, Dante gradually bought and planted more plots. His son, Donato Giangirolami, helped him from an early age and later took over the business. Donato had always enjoyed watching grapes become wine, and he believed that good wine should also be natural.
1993
Donato became one of the first producers in the area to begin working toward organic certification.
2003
The estate started bottling wine for sale, creating the "Donato Giangirolami Azienda Agricola Biologica" label.
Today
The winery has modern equipment, certified-organic vineyards, and a space for tastings and events. Its wines have earned recognition both in Italy and beyond.
