Giovanni Montisci

Giovanni Montisci, a mechanic by trade, inherited an old vineyard from his grandmother and discovered a passion for the land and wine. For 15 years he regularly visited two winemaker friends and their cellars to learn the craft of winemaking. The estate was founded around 20 years ago. Today the estate has around two hectares of vineyards in total, including old vines aged 60 and 80 years.

The estate is located on the island of Sardinia.

The old vines, aged 60 and 80 years, are farmed naturally. Giovanni can often be seen ploughing the land with oxen.

In the cellar, the wines undergo spontaneous fermentation, with no chemical additives, stabilization, or filtration. Annual production is around 6,000 bottles, each with its own unique serial number.
