The estate lies close to the Adriatic coast to the east and to the landscapes of Majella and Gran Sasso to the west and southwest, giving the area a typical Mediterranean climate. This combination creates a microclimate for the vines in a distinctive and still relatively little-known landscape. The Vasto area, on the southern border of Abruzzo, has long been considered one of the best parts of the region for growing grapes and is home to most of the local wine production.
