Storia
1907: the beginnings
The story of Tenuta Luisa began in 1907, when grandfather Francesco Luisa owned a small plot of five hectares.
The second and third generations
The family farm was later taken over by grandfather Delsizo, the only son among six children. Next came Eddi, the father of the current owners, who at the age of 13 decided to devote himself fully to winemaking and grape growing. Over time he turned the small winery into the extensive Tenuta Luisa estate. Supported by the brothers' mother, he remains closely involved in the family business.
Today
The winery is managed by the fourth-generation brothers David and Michele, who have brought new ideas, a taste for experimentation and the knowledge gained at oenology school. Its wines have received repeated recognition at international competitions.
Terroir
The winery is in Corona, a small village in Mariano del Friuli. The Collia hills rise above the surrounding area.
Vinificazione
David, an agronomist, manages the vineyards.
Michele, an oenologist, is responsible for the winery and the wines. Each part of the winemaking process is in dedicated hands.
Filosofia
The owners describe the crown in the logo as representing the high standards they aim for in the quality of their wines. The brothers combine fresh ideas and a love of experimentation with what they learned at oenology school.
