Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
Sangiovese grown in Tuscany.
Grapes
Sangiovese.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, selected and destemmed at approximately 18°C. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled cement vats; the temperature rises gradually to approximately 28°C toward the end. Maceration lasts around 20 days, with daily pump-overs and a short délestage near the conclusion. After draining, the pomace is pressed gently and the wine is racked. Malolactic fermentation and the first months of maturation take place in cement.
Ageing
A further six months in second-fill French oak tonneaux, followed by six months in bottle.

On the palate it is soft and balanced, with juicy cherry and sour-cherry notes. Dense, rounded tannins provide depth and persistence, while the clean, vivid fruit keeps the wine fresh and inviting.
