Storia
A historic estate in Castellina in Chianti
Villa Rosa was already an established historic estate associated with the quality of Sangiovese in Castellina in Chianti before its incorporation into the Cecchi family’s holdings.
2015 — Acquisition by the Cecchi family
Villa Rosa became part of the Cecchi family’s estates in 2015. The acquisition reinforced the family’s presence in Chianti Classico and added an estate already known for the quality of its Sangiovese.
Terroir
Villa Rosa is situated in Castellina in Chianti, within the Chianti Classico territory. Its vineyards supply Sangiovese identified specifically with the estate and with the Chianti Classico component of Cecchi’s production.
Vinificazione
Villa Rosa’s viticultural identity centres on Sangiovese, for which the historic estate had already developed a reputation before joining the Cecchi family’s holdings.
Filosofia
Villa Rosa’s role within the Cecchi family’s estates is grounded in its established association with Sangiovese and Chianti Classico. The estate contributes the Chianti Classico expression to a project designed to preserve the distinct identities of two Tuscan territories.
