First World War

Nearly a hundred years ago, during the retreat from Caporetto in the First World War, Bepi Zardetto lost his horse and cart, which was loaded with small barrels of wine. Since then the Zardetto family has honored its traditions, passing its knowledge from father to son.

1998 onward

Fabio Zardetto took over the business in 1998, firmly believing that its future lay in sparkling wine. In 2002 he began building a new production facility equipped with modern technology. Zardetto Spumanti today produces sparkling wines.
