The 2018 fruit was harvested on 17 October and macerated for 137 days in 50 hl wooden vats.
Ageing
The 2018 matured for 42 months in 50 hl vats and casks, with passages through steel and bottle. The wine's defining history also records prolonged maturation in chestnut casks.

Label / history
Sesto Canto takes its name from the sixth canto of Dante's Inferno, where gluttons suffer under endless rain and Cerberus is silenced by Virgil. The vineyard's position at the third bend mirrors the poem's third circle. Arturo Pelizzatti Perego, who repeatedly competed in the Coppa Valtellina rally, dreamed of an Inferno Riserva celebrating the power and roar of this terrain. The project became reality with the 2009 vintage.
