About this wine

First produced: 1996.

Origin: 3.05 ha of vineyards in Montelupo Albese at approximately 400 m, with south and south-east exposures.

Grapes: 100% Dolcetto. Density: 5,000 vines/ha. Yield: approximately 70 q/ha. Training: Guyot.

Soils: shallow sandy loam, whitish, calcareous and alkaline.

Viticulture: humus, compost and goat manure; copper and sulphur treatments; mechanical weed control; organic certification. Harvest in the first or second ten days of September.

Vinification: 10 days in temperature-controlled tanks.

Aging: 10 months in stainless steel. No filtration.

Production: approximately 20,000 bottles.

Characteristics: deep ruby red, with fresh fruit and blackberry notes. Smooth, balanced and fresh on the palate.

Serving temperature: 14–15°C.
