About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit grows in the Vallagarina valley, on hilly slopes facing east and southeast at 200–400 m above sea level. The soils are dark basalt. The text credits this terroir with giving the wine a pure flavour and rich aroma.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in the second half of September. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, which preserves the variety's distinctive character and fresh fruit flavours. After fermentation the wine is clarified gently in concrete tanks before bottling. The particles settle naturally, which gives clarity, balance and a harmonious texture without loss of aroma or freshness.
Tasting profile
Cherry and berry notes with gentle hints of spice. The structure is delicate and the acidity lively. The wine is light, fresh and aromatic.
