About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Sauvignon Blanc grows on east-facing hillsides in Isera at 300–500 metres above sea level. The well-drained soils are gravelly, calcareous sandy loam. Day-to-night temperature shifts help develop the grapes’ aromas.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in the second half of September and undergo a short skin maceration. After pressing, the juice settles naturally before fermentation at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine rests in stainless steel tanks until bottling.
Tasting profile
Lively and fresh.
Vintage notes
In 2021, Trentino experienced a mostly sunny but very cold winter. Only brief, occasional rises in temperature occurred during spring, slowing vine development. A warm, sunny start to summer helped compensate for this delay, but July and August brought unsettled conditions. The harvest began relatively late, and rain in September posed a serious challenge to growers.
