About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Sauvignon Blanc grows in the Argentario area above the city of Trento. The site has sunny hillsides and gravel-rich soils, with growing conditions likened to those of the Loire Valley in northern France. The area has been known since ancient times for its silver mines.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested as they begin to turn greenish-gold, when sugar concentration and aromatic character are in balance. They are destemmed, crushed and chilled, then kept briefly in contact with the skins before pressing and conventional white-wine vinification.
Ageing
After bottling, the wine rests for several months in bottle.
