About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow on the hills around Trento at elevations above 500 metres, in well-exposed, well-ventilated vineyards. Rhine Riesling is hardy enough to withstand cold winters and prefers a cool yet sunny climate. The variety came to Italy in the 1800s from the Rhine or Moselle Valley and found a natural home in the best areas of Trentino-Alto Adige.
Vinification
After a short cold maceration, the grapes are gently pressed to extract the juice without damaging the skins. Once settled, the juice ferments in stainless steel tanks under strict temperature control.
Ageing
The wine rests on the fine lees for at least 6 months before bottling.
