Vineyard and terroir

Production zone: Serralunga d'Alba. Bottles produced: 4,000-5,000. Average vine age: 20 years. Soil: clay-calcareous marls. Exposure: south, south-east and south-west.

Vinification and ageing

Maceration on skins in temperature-controlled rotofermenter for 4-5 days; ageing in French barriques, 30% new, for 24 months.

Tasting profile

Colour: lively ruby red with garnet reflections. Nose: spice, licorice, tobacco, balsamic and menthol notes. Palate: warm, with powerful structured tannins.
