About this wine
Vinification
The Montepulciano is harvested late and by hand, so that the fruit ripens fully. It is pressed gently and macerated for 20–25 days in concrete tanks, which brings out generous fruit and a velvety texture.
Ageing
The wine spends 12 months in French oak barrels, which give structure along with subtle woody and spicy notes. It then matures further in cement vats and in bottle, so that aromas and flavours come together harmoniously.
