About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in Lillove, the area between Oliena and Orgosolo. Its medium-textured soils contain granite deposits, and the site remains fairly cool even during the driest summers. Dry, windy conditions help maintain vineyard health and reduce the need for pest-control treatments. A low number of buds is retained on each vine, limiting yields and improving grape quality.
Grapes
Cannonau is supplemented by a small proportion of local red varieties.
Vinification
Cannonau is generally harvested from mid-September to mid-October. The grapes are destemmed, then macerated and fermented at a controlled temperature of 30 °C for 20–25 days.
Ageing
The wine is aged in stainless-steel tanks.
Label / history
The name Lillove comes from the area between Oliena and Orgosolo where the grapes are grown.
