Fiano thrives in the volcanic soils of the Apennine Mountains.
Grapes
Fiano is a variety first mentioned in the 13th century and grown in southern Italy. It was forgotten in the 20th century and rediscovered in the 1970s and 1980s. It is so sweet that it is also known as the "vine beloved by bees."
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand. Maceration and fermentation take place in stainless steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures on its fine lees, then ages for a longer period after the lees have been removed.
Tasting profile
The variety produces rich, highly expressive single-varietal wines.
