About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on basalt and clay soils in the foothills of the Veneto region.
Grapes
The blend comprises 70% Refosco and 30% Merlot.
Vinification
The grapes remain in contact with their skins for 24–36 hours at 4–6 °C before gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel vats for 15 days at 18–20 °C.
Ageing
The wine matures for three months in steel tanks, followed by two months in bottle.
Tasting profile
The nose has a pleasant berry aroma. The palate is clean and refreshing.
Label / history
The name “Modello” derives from the Italian word “moda”, meaning fashion.
