Vineyard and terroir

Pure Glera comes from selected estate vineyards with predominantly marly soils. The rows face south and southeast and are trained using the doppio capovolto system. Grapes are picked by hand into bins at the end of September.

Grapes

100% Glera.

Vinification

The wine is made by fermenting a cuvée composed of must and wine in nearly equal proportions in an autoclave. Secondary fermentation lasts 30 days. No dosage is added after prise de mousse, allowing the wine to retain some of the sugar originally present in the grapes.

Technical data

Alcohol: 10% vol. Total acidity: 5.51 g/L. Residual sugar: 11 g/L. It is presented as the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Brut with the denomination’s lowest alcohol level.

Tasting profile

Pale straw yellow with greenish reflections. Elderflower and hawthorn lead the bouquet, joined by white peach and a faint saline suggestion reminiscent of helichrysum. The palate is very fresh, slender and vibrant, with an agile, incisive, vertically driven profile and a savory finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 6–8 °C in a glass combining the narrower shape of a flute with the broader aromatic chamber of a tulip. The wine is intended for youthful drinking and shows best 12–24 months after bottling; with time, its fruit-led aromas evolve toward riper, more vinous tones. Store in a dark, cool and dry place at 12–15 °C, upright during the first year and optionally horizontally thereafter.

Label / history

The wine is dedicated to the official partnership between Bisol1542 and Venice’s gondoliers’ association. Its label expresses the connection between Bisol1542 and Venice. The style was conceived as an innovative, contemporary interpretation emphasizing clarity, freshness and moderate alcohol.
