Storia
Origins
Terre di Pietra is a small winery in the heart of Valpolicella, east of Verona. Its story begins with Laura Albertini, daughter of fifth-generation farmers, who spent much of her childhood in the vineyards with her father. He hoped she would study and find an office job.
2002–2010
In 2002, after completing her studies in accounting, Laura married Cristiano. Her father-in-law gave the couple a small vineyard and a garage where they could make wine from several grape varieties. For Laura it was an opportunity to show her skills in managing both vineyard and cellar. In 2005, with her husband and on the advice of oenologist Flavio Peroni, she began producing their first vintages. A new cellar was built in Marcellise in 2010.
2011 onward
In 2011 the winery made its first spontaneous fermentations and moved toward biodynamic viticulture.
2017
Laura died suddenly in 2017. Cristiano took over the company with their young daughters and continued the family business, which Laura had regarded as her own creation.
