About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Costa Bassa vineyard—its name means “Low Bank”—begins at the foot of the valley and rises to 450 m above sea level. The climate promotes even ripening, producing grapes with low acidity, soft tannins and thin skins.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, usually in the second half of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in oak barrels.
Ageing
The wine matures in oak barrels for 12 months.
