About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Il Glicine vineyard covers 1 hectare in the Sassella area, in the municipality of Sondrio, at 470 metres above sea level. A rocky outcrop overlooks the whole plot.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, usually in the second half of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in oak barrels.
Ageing
The wine ages for 12 months in 500-litre oak barrels and large 30 hl oak casks.
Label / history
The vineyard is named after the wisteria (glicine) whose winding vines and flowers cover the rocky outcrop above the plot.
