Storia
1755: foundation
Maison Albert Pic was founded in Chablis in 1755 and is presented as the oldest Maison in Chablis. Its historical account also records exports to the English-speaking world during the preceding century.
Baron Patrick de Ladoucette and Pic 1er
When Baron Patrick de Ladoucette became involved in the Chablis vineyard, the position of the cellars at the foot of the grands crus helped inspire Pic 1er. Conceived as a special cuvée, it was introduced to complement Maison Albert Pic’s traditional range. Pic 1er is assembled from the best crus of a given year and produced only in exceptional vintages. Its specially shaped bottle was designed to combine a distinctive visual identity with a cuvée intended to represent the expression of Chablis.
Terroir
Maison Albert Pic’s vineyards lie at the foot of the hills in Chablis and are presented as belonging to the area’s prestigious vineyard sites. The cellars stand at the foot of the Chablis grands crus.
Filosofia
Pic 1er embodies an approach based on vintage selection and the expression of Chablis. The cuvée brings together the best crus of the year and is made only when the vintage is considered exceptional.
