Storia
Foundation in 1924
Mastri del Friuli traces its origins to 1924. In that year, Cavaliere Alessandro Bidoli acted on his love of wine and founded a winery in the heart of Friuli, establishing the first generation of the family enterprise.
Giobatta: the second generation
Alessandro’s passion was subsequently passed to his son Giobatta. No date is attached to this succession, but Giobatta represents the second stage of the winery’s family continuity.
Arrigo and Margherita: the third generation
The family connection continued through Alessandro’s grandchildren Arrigo and Margherita. Together they constitute the third generation named in the winery’s history.
Elena: the fourth generation
The dynasty later reached its fourth generation with the young Elena. Her place in the succession embodies an outlook that preserves the experience inherited from previous generations while remaining oriented toward the future.
The connection with the Piccini family
At a later, undated stage, the path of the historic Friulian winery intersected with that of the Piccini family. This relationship was framed as a project for strengthening and communicating the character of Friuli’s wine-growing landscape. Passion, family continuity, respect for inherited experience and a forward-looking outlook form the values associated with this phase of the winery’s development.
Terroir
Mastri del Friuli was founded in the heart of Friuli. Its identity is connected to the region’s wine-growing landscape, whose expression and promotion provide the context for the winery’s relationship with the Piccini family. No individual vineyard locations, elevations, exposures, climatic influences, soil compositions or geological formations are identified.
Filosofia
