Storia
The Primosic family has owned its winery and vineyards in the hills of Collio for several hundred years, going back to the period when northern Italy was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
Second half of the 20th century
The estate entered a new period of growth and renewal, led by Silvestro Primosic. He worked to develop the vineyards, with a particular focus on local grape varieties.
Today
The Primosic family is considered one of Italy's leading wine producers.
Terroir
The vineyards lie on the hills of Collio. They have a distinctive microclimate, with gusty winter winds and warm summer breezes, and conditions that are neither too dry nor too humid. The soils are slate and sandy marl, which supply the vines with minerals and give the wines a pronounced mineral character.
