Cantine Salvalai has made wine since 1870 from grapes grown in the hills of Verona, on the shores of Lake Garda.

Late 1960s

In the late 1960s Salvalai was one of the first producers in the area to export its wines successfully beyond Italy.

The vineyards are in the hills of Verona, on the shores of Lake Garda, an area with winemaking traditions stretching back thousands of years. They lie in three "Classico" zones of the Verona area: Soave, Bardolino and Valpolicella.

The range includes Ripasso and Amarone. Amarone is made using the ancient technique of drying the grapes.
