Storia
1956: foundation
Vallebelbo was founded in 1956 by a group of farmers who wanted to develop the market and bottle wine under their own brand, rather than simply supply grapes to Piedmont's large producers. The first plant became one of the most advanced facilities in the local wine industry. Its equipment may seem basic by today's standards and its working methods were traditional, but it had enough production capacity.
Early 1970s: technological upgrade and second plant
By the early 1970s the company had completed a major technological upgrade and built a second plant. This significantly improved the quality of its wines and greatly expanded its sales market.
Mid-1980s: Moscato plant
In the mid-1980s Vallebelbo decided to build a further new plant specifically for Moscato wines. It remains one of Italy's most modern Moscato winemaking facilities. In the same period the company worked extensively to improve the quality of the grapes it grew.
2010: unification of the plants
In 2010 the company's president and board of directors undertook a major project to bring the three plants together, aiming to streamline the team's work, reduce production costs and improve wine quality.
