Storia
Present
Batasiolo is owned by the Dogliani family and ranks among the largest wine estates in the Langhe region. The winery takes its name from the vineyard where its production facility is located. Today the estate comprises 9 properties covering around 120 ha, of which 107 ha are planted with vines. Managing director Fiorenzo Dogliani, the youngest of the five Dogliani brothers, oversees the company, which he directs with a focus on producing wines of exceptional quality. Batasiolo wines are now known both in Italy and abroad, with their quality recognized at international competitions and by wine critics.
Terroir
Batasiolo's estates are located in the Langhe region. Most of the fruit used in the wines comes from the winery's own vineyards, with the remainder purchased from long-standing partners in Barbaresco and Roero.
Vinificazione
Most grapes come from Batasiolo's own vineyards across its 9 estates. The remaining grapes are purchased from long-standing partners in the Barbaresco and Roero areas.
Batasiolo produces around 3 million bottles a year, drawing primarily on fruit from its own vineyards, supplemented by grapes bought from long-standing partners in Barbaresco and Roero. The wines are distributed both in Italy and internationally, and have received recognition at international competitions and from wine critics.
