Storia

Origins and the 1995 first vintage

Col Solare originated through a collaboration between Marchesi Antinori and Chateau Ste. Michelle. The project brought together the two producers’ respective viticultural and winemaking cultures, with the objective of producing Cabernet Sauvignon capable of expressing the identity of Red Mountain AVA in Washington State. Its first vintage was 1995.

2024: Full ownership by the Antinori family

The partnership entered a new phase in 2024, when the Antinori family acquired full ownership of the estate. The acquisition reflected the family’s confidence in the potential of the Red Mountain terroir.
