Storia
Before 1978
Luigi Zamo's connection to wine was indirect: he ran a small wine tavern.
1978
His son Tullio Zamò bought 5 hectares of land on the slopes of Mount Bernarda in Friuli, marking the beginning of Le Vigne di Zamò.
1978–1988
Over the following ten years, Tullio Zamò expanded the vineyards and released several wines, including "Abbazia di Rosazzo" and "Ronco dei Roseti," which won major awards and became extremely popular in Italy.
By 2000
The Zamo family owned 35 hectares of vineyards, along with new cellars, a modern winery, and a restaurant.
Today
Le Vigne di Zamò has around 55 hectares of vineyards across Rocca Bernardo, Buttrio, and Rosazzo, producing a wide range of wines from native and European grape varieties.
