Storia
Early 1950s – Founding
Severino Lorenzon bought abandoned land that was considered to have little potential. With a professional and responsible approach, and with the support of his wife Maria and later their son Enzo, he worked to turn it into some of the finest vineyards in Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
1991 – The I Feudi di Romans cru
A turning point came with the purchase of land beside the Isonzo River, whose shifting course and frequent flooding continually move and mix the soil layers. The first 15 ha of the I Feudi di Romans cru were acquired here; the soil contains a large amount of gravel and has a red color indicating a high level of mineralization.
1996 – First release
The first wines from this site were released and quickly found an audience that has continued to grow each year.
Today
The Lorenzon family owns 120 ha of vineyards in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, planted with both native and international grape varieties. Third-generation family members David and Nicola Lorenzon are now involved in running the winery. The family's wines are enjoyed in Italy and in more than 20 countries around the world.
