Biodynamic wines of Abruzzo

Biodynamic growing takes organic farming further — the vineyard is treated as one living system, with preparations, composts and a calendar — and it is certified on top of organic status. Demeter has certified in Italy since the 1980s and publishes its register; Biodyvin is the growers' union that vets its own members. Both check the estate every year.
